RafflesBookday

whee! How fun! Jazzo and her classmates were to turn their whole class intho a storybook. everyone in the class had to dress up as a character in the story and some people had to act. Jazzo's class will be doing charlie and the chocolate factory so the rest of the people can become oompa loompas and chocolate bars?
-rest to be finished laterr-

Jazzoo is bacccccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk after a what? Month long hiatus? Jazzo is back cos everyone keeps asking her why she never posts, which is pissful. So many things have happened since jazzo's last post but jazzo is not so wuliao and post everything. All she shall say is that she went for GB june retreat, Buckle got last for Sports meet....

Oh why not help Jazzo out? visit
www.jazzoneko.deviantart.com

yeah nowadays jazzo will have to use some of her 1-hour long online naruto watching time from seven to eight to post. Mrgh.

Sigh, jazzo feels sadd. There's a history talk later instead of GB and so GB is postponed from 5 to 6:30. How late! Jazzo will only be able to reach home by 7:30+ and she still has geog formative test to finish!

Yesterday was Jazzos and the school's (sort of) birthday!
Let's talk about how the school celebrated it's birthday in Jazzo's perspective first:
It was sort of the school's birthday because it celebrated it's Founders' Day on that day. It sounds like a birthday, more or less, to Jaz.
They had to put their bags down in the classrooms first which was rather sad for Jazzo because she had a couple of brown giant leaves she wanted to use to decorated the class. But due to it's largeness she could not bring it in the school bus and thus could only bring it when taking a ride in her father's car. Saturdays were the only day she would be taking her father's car to school but she did not bring it as she thought she would spend the whole celebration at the amphitheatre and would not be going back to class at all. Also, after the concert she had to go to the Girls' Brigade room to meet and go to the Army Market in Lavender to buy boots. Walking all the way to class would take time.
It started with a couple of speeches made by the principal , and then by the VIP. Jazzo did not really pay attention due to her really short attention span and took to bending the fingers of her pink paper hand inwards and drawing an evil face on the palm so it looked as if it was the evil hand of d00m and is gonna get you~
she hovered it above the head of the girl sitting in front of her.
The concert finally came, what Jazzo had been waiting for. After seeing her 2 classmates go for Founder's day rehersals all the time she was anxious to see what it was like. The show was wonderful! The costume of Athena-the-statue-but-is-now-alive was so pretty! Jazzo also got to see her classmates Liyana and Miin. Miin sung on stage and she sounded really angelic. Liyana got a talking part and did not need to sing. there were performances by Chinese Orchestra, the gymnasts, Anklung, Dance and choir.
the dancers had pretty costumes too. Their costume had flowing skirts and Jazzo noticed that the performer at her extreme right had her legs entangled in her flowy skirt but she still managed to dance nicely.
As for the gymnasts..GOSh. Jazzo wanted to faint. they were so good! They did flips as if they were walking! Jazzo noticed that they were pretty short and their arms were really muscular, too.
That was about all. There was a cake, also, for the school. how Jazzo wished they would offer a slice who had their birthdays on the fourth of March too. Jazzo knows two other people in this school whose birthdays fall on the same day.

Now let's talk about Jazzo's celebration.
After the concert, Jazzo went back to class to claim her bag, feeling pretty good. She had received a sketchbook from Sze Min early in the morning and had too received a package from Karen. She was told to go to the gym and when she went, Liyana passed her a present too! It was four metal bangles (What Jazzo had so coveted in Little India last year), a really long friendship band and a teddy bear dressed in overalls handphone accessory. The friendship band and teddy currently resides at her pencil box.
She then went to buy boots. Took 105 and stopped outside Tangs, went to CityHall MRT station and took to Lavender and from there walked to Army Market which Jazzo heard was near Golden Mile Complex. Jazzo knows where the Golden Mile Complex is or rather, she recognizes that place. It is there that she usually takes coaches to Malaysia and the like for holidays.
Jazzo bought her boots (Size 7, what lage feet she has~) and a uniform holder and took MRT to CityHall again, crossed to go to Ang Mo Kio, Stopped at Cheers to buy a Mocha chocolate Freezy which she could not finish because too much chocolate makes you sick, and took bus 73 home.
The afternoon is not worth mentioning.
She went to her Grandma's house for dinner and accidentally ate ESCARGO. Her uncle had bought them canned and her grandma cooked them. Jazzo's little brother told her it smelt horrible at the start already. She did take a sniff and it did smell horrible.
When Jazzo asked her mum what it was however, her mother said it was probably some kind of cockles in tomato sauce. Jazzo cannot resist cockles and took one and bit it. (because not all food that smell bad taste bad) but it tasted horrid anyway so she gave the rest to her father who ate it and took alot more.
Apparently he knew it was escargo but he thought she knew and thus did not tell her
. It was after dinner when she asked him why he ate so many bad-tasting cockles when he said
"What cockles? It's escargo!"
Jazzo almost fainted. She had long ago made up her mind never to try escargo and she just did...on her birthday. Her father asked her why she looked so upset; he tried escargo with its shell on before...
Jazzo has been tainted.

Jazzo ran 1.5km today. It was the finals, too. Jazzo was really shocked when she heard this-she thought it was the heats. She went to Raffles' Junior College. She took a taxi from her school there and the trip costed $5:30. She took a taxi with 3 other secondary one pupils and the person who paid the fare was a really nice senior. Jazzo thought she(the senior) was pretty disappointed with the turnout of the sec 1s though. Jazzo is indebted to her.
If you didn't know already, Jazzo is a reserve. TWO competitors (pretty irresponsible if you ask me) did not come. So the two reserves which includes Jaz were forced to run instead. But nevermind, at least Jazzo got her house card signed. Yay.
To go home, Jazzo took bus 156 at the busstop opposite RI. Jazzo had lots of difficulty going home. She made a total of 3 calls to her elder brother for directions home. So basically, yeah she annoyed her brother a whole lot.
For her Special Art Programme (SAP) lesson that day, her teacher Mr Mah did not come as he was probably sick. (A note outside the art room door said he was on MC Sec 3 SAP pupils lessons are cancelled.)Sec 3 pupils have their lessons after school.
So her classmates (In the SAP class) had to finish up their projects without the company of Mr. Mah which was tough because he said the previous lesson to wait for him to approve of the lineart before shading. Jazzo had to shade or she would have nothing to do. So to prevent herself from feeling guilty and decrease the rate of shading productivity, she took out her jotter book and drew her comic inside.
The comic is about this girl and this boy who were rivals since young. The girl is a goody-goody and the boy is a mischeivious monkey. They got seperated when ten (Much to the delight of them both) and was put in the same class again at 13. At 13 you know what usually happens in comics! Crush. (to tell the truth Jazzo neber had one before and she means it) And the girl and the boy suddenly get superpowers and join two rival clans without knowing the other is at the other side until one fine day...
Jazzo such a crazy person you agree? But maybe Mr. Mah is crazier than her; who knows?
Oh lookee her birthday is tomorrow. Lets celebrate with her! Oh..darn apparently she has celebrated once with her family today night. Probably because she cannot resist the cake. It's mango and jelly cake. It's not your Haagan-daaz icecream cake or your it-cost-me-50-bucks cake but it's still yummy. Jazzo loves fruit cake. Unfortunately for all that cream though. Jazzo hates cream. Eew. She likes icecream though.
She really likes the fact that her school's Founders Day is on her birthday and does not hesitate telling the whole world this, the little show-off.
She is also supposed to make a hand for the concert tomorrow. Each class was also supposed to have a theme for their hands and her class' was supposed to be Gloved Hands which sounds pretty deep and philosophical to Jazzo. (Morbid Jazzo still prefers bloody hands)
But suddenly the theme changes to Pink Hands. Huh? In such a short notice too ! Jazzo already finished her gloved hand... and what meaning does pink hands have? Hmm.. Jazzo wonders. Fed up, Jazzo shall just trace her hand over pink paper. Hmph.

Jazzo is currently typing this in IT club. She has eight minutes left before going home so she shall hurry.
Yesterday Jazzo was pretty psyched out. She managed to get a splinter in her 2nd toe of her left foot due to swirling in a swirling chair and using the back of the bed's headboard to kick off. It was embedded right in her toe and there were no bits sticking out where she can pull.
Jazzo felt pained and rather she cried or not...well, you know... she was using a nail clipper to try and break off some skin so she could remove the splinter but it hurt very, very badly. Jazzo, afraid it would stay there forever, prayed hard to God.
And guess what? After that, she got a really numb leg. She remembered what being numb could do and immediately scraped desperately. If her foot was not numb she would have fainted from the pain. And..the splinter was removed.
So, Jazzo believes that God helped her to remove the splinter and now she really believes he exists.

Jazzo updated a bit of her blog skin today. She added three chaos butterflies (Jazzo likes the number three) and instead green and yellow squares there are now blue and pink circles and stars. She added her name too, naturally, and a lovely rainbow. Jazzo knows that halfway the picture doesn't fit but too bad- she doesn't care because she spent very long doing up her blog. She also added music.
If you didn't notice it, it's either you're deaf or your volume is not up high enough. The music is 'Sand in my shoes' by Dido. Jazzo loves that song. Dido is a really good singer she says.

Jazzo parcitipated in mass swim, which was organized by her school, today. She left school at about 2 something, took 2 buses, walked a bit and finally arrived at her destination- the CCAB pool.
Mass swim was one of the last few events of the day. The really last were water basketball and aquaaerobics which Jazzo missed because she thought the whole thing was over after mass swim and thus left after drying herself.
Before mass swim, Jazzo was really bored. She kept thinking of the homework she had yet to do. As it was impossible to do homework at the grandstands, where everyone and their bags were seated, Jazzo got her handphone out and took pictures of her classmates secretly. She also left the swimming pool area once to go to the track to buy a drink with 3 other classmates. Guiltily, Jazzo tried Coke Lime, which she wanted to try for a very long while and was slightly disappointed. To her it did not have a slightest taste of lime at all! Jazzo also brought a small packet of Milo cereal to show house spirit (unknowingly at first) The milo box was green in colour, and there was a picture of a swimmer on it. how fitting!
Each house were supposed to have 150 mass swimmers participating in Mass Swim for full house points but Jazzo only saw 89 students supporting the house by mass-swimming. All mass swimmers had codes written on their arms. Jazzo's was B086. B stands for Buckle, 086 stands for her number. The mass swimmers were to jump into either five lanes of the pool, two in each lane and swim to the other side. That was all. Jazzo clipped her hair up and doggy-paddled in order not to keep her hair wet. And her hair really was bone dry when she got out of the pool!

Today Jazzo went to RJC for house practice again. Now she is no longer in 3 km reserve, but in 50 metres relay. She is still a reserve for 1.5km though. Jazzo is wondering how she will survive if she really has to compete- she felt so dizzy after completing her time trials for 1.5 km.
There is no house practice for Jazzo next week- how relieved Jazzo is!

Today was also an important milestone of her life. But we shall start on her family's computer history first:
The first computer in Jazzo's life was when she was about three. The computer spoiled quickly because she an her older brother used to always shut doen the computer illegally.
The second computer was bought when Jazzo was in Primary One. It was Acer brand and it moved with them when they shifted house in 2003.
The next computer, a Compaq, the Eng family aquired in 2004. This computer is also the one currently residing in Jazzo's bedroom-with internet!
So far, the latest computer was bought in 2005, December. It is the family's main computer and thus sits in the hall.
Today was the day internet access arrived for the two computers. Before, only the older one (now in Jazzo's room) had access. Also, before the internet arrived for the newer computer, both computers were side by side in the hall.
Jazzo is really happy now that there is a computer with internet in her room,as it is so much more convenient to ask about homework now. Also, she can do other stuff like blogging, for instance. She can also use the computer in the comfort of air-con!

Today, her school had Student Leaders' Investiture. Everyone had to wear ties for this occasion. Jazzo was not pleased because ties made her choke. The ceremony was held in the amphitheatre, but as there were no space, all Secondary 1 students watched it somewhat live through a cam in the KS Chee theatre. It was hot and stuffy in there, and the screen was small and rather fuzzy. The sound quality was not good at all either. All Jazzo could hear were mumbles and jumbles. So bored Jazzo got out a book to read but during Speech Time she stopped reading and bookmarked the page she was reading at using her finger.
However, a teacher came and told her to "Keep your books and show respect to the speaker". Jazzo was not even reading! But she kept the book anyway. Strangely, someone near her (Not in her class) was writing a letter while the principal was talking on the screen but no one said anything.
THe Investiture lasted for about two hours and that tortured her feet. During the hand-shaking part of the ceremony during the investiture, Jazzo was trying to see if she could spot anyone she knew, but she could not because she sat right at the back of the KS Chee Theatre and the image itself was already very small and because so many people were cheering in the Real Venue and the sound quality was already bad,she could not hear the names of the Student Leaders being announced.
All in all, The SLI to her was quite a disappointment and the only good thing was that she got to go home early. If the Secondary ones were not placed in boxes and away from where the real action was, Jazzo would be happier but she does understand that so many pupils can not possibly fit in the amphitheatre.

Today is Total Defence Day. Much to the inconvenience to her classmates, the school celebrated it by turning off the power from 8:30 in the morning till 11:30. This included recess. As their classroom was made of metal, the room was rather like a microwave oven without the airconditioning, thus they had their Geography lessons out of class. This was not good news to Jazzo because they had to seat crossed-legged on the floor and find out grid references and distances in-between places and bearings and such. It was really irritating. Her map kept folding itself up or dragged on the floor. The usage of string to find out curved distances did not help much either.
During recess, there was supposed to be food rationing, where the canteen stalls did not sell any food. however, the stalls DID sell food and because Jazzo did not like biscuits and mineral water much, she bought something from the stalls. But after that, she still ate some lemon biscuits frfom the rations. Greedy Jazzo.
She is now writing during Computer studies. The electricity cut is now over.Computer Studies is one of her favourite lessons. She is quite sleepy because she planned to sleep in the school bus but some pupils were talking rather loudly so she couldn't sleep. (They were indians but that doesnt matter)
..She has to go off and will finsh up at home. Teacher doesn't allow this, apparently.

Well, apparently Jazzo didn't finish this at home. She is writing on Thursday instead, during IT club, her merit CCa. Grace and Muni are in the same merit CCa as her. Today, during English lesson, her english and literature teacher, Mrs. Loh, was talking about blogging.
Jazzo was also rather angry in the morning today because some of the pupils in the school bus blocked the way to the seats with their bags. They had placed the bags on the aisle, so Jazzo had to take one big leap while the bus was moving across the bags to reach her seats and nearly fell down. (They were the same pupils as before, see above.)

Jazzo is irritated...

Jazzo celebrated Valentine's Day today. As mentioned earlier, she brought marshmallows for everyone but so did Minjia and Valarie(PSLs) but it was a different flavour of marshmallows anyway so it did not matter because no one could have more than enough marshmallows. She left it at the back of the class. The flavours were: Strawberri. Grape. Orange. Balloons and roses were also delivered and Jazzo forgot to order any. forgetful Jazzo, as usual. She received a really cute pen holder with a doggy attached to it by her godangel (Whom she only knew the true identity of today) and was really grateful. Jazzo has a surprise for her tomorrow too! And for Siying, her senior in 212, because it will be her birthday tomorrow. Jazzo likes bells alot.
Her elder brother was also very nice today. He bought a pressie from Actioncity Studios for her to celebrate his new allowance raise. Jazzo is quite happy for her brother but now she wants a raise too.

Jazzo received a call on Friday night at nine plus and was informed by a helpful classmate that she was shortlisted for long Distance and had to go to Raffles Junior College for training. Jazzo was really, really shocked. She is not atheletic. At all. She hates running, really.
She went to RJC anyway and got rather lost there. They said to meet at the track but there wasn't any sign that led to the track and RJC was such a big place. She noticed a cute Bayley-Waddle sign and deduced that their theme that year was Spongebob. Jazzo <3s spongebob. Yes she does.So naturally she got kind of jealous with her elder brother who is Seconday 3 and is in Bayley.
In the end she managed to find the track and after a series of warm ups and running that totalled 2.6km, she was told to be a reserve for the 1.5km and 3km run. How relieved Jazzo was to hear that! Being a reserve meant that she most probably would not run during the Sports Festival. She hates running especially during competitions because of the feeling : You are very, very tired and you feel that you cannot go on. You want to give up but the sound of your housemates, classmates and friends cheering for you, getting sore throats because of you and you feel that if you give up you would be letting them down. But you really cant go on....
She did not ever want to reach a situation like that. Also, being reserve, she may get a trophy even if she didnt compete! But she would also have to go for training during House Practices and probably will have to run more than 3km. But because she is like competiting, she would not participate in the Mass Dance but she wanted to because her house's Dance sequence was so fun.

At night she went to Junction 8 and bought lots of green materials for Class Decoration. It cost her mother $13.54 and now her mother wants the money back fro the class fund.
Valentines day is coming soon so she bought strawberry marshmallows for everyone!

Jazzo is currently studing in RGs. She is a secondary one. Jazzo is also a Maplestory addict. She does not really like blogging cos blogging can get people into trouble and Jazzo'd rather keep her own thoughts to herself..mostly. Jazzo is a flower. (Flow-er..not flower as in the thing thats wilts easily) She likes to go along with everything...But she's not a mindless blob, mind you.
Jazzo likes drawing too and she REALLY appreciates the people who can draw neat perfect lines because she can't. She likes manga-wait, she does like the manga she reads so far, but Jazzo feels that she has read too little Manga to comment- She doesn't really like reading just 1 volume out of a series of manymany books and yet talk about the characters as if she knew them personally.
She doesn't write to PSLs (Peer Support Leaders) unless they write first. It's not because Jazzo's mean-they ARE very nice to them(Jazzo and her classmates)-but well, she feels it weird. Don't ask her why, she can't sort her own thoughts out. She's one sad person. Yeah...she may appear happy and bouncy to you..MAY...but most of the time she's unhappy unless she does the stuff she likes which is:
  • Drawing
  • Eating things that taste nice
  • Mapling(JazionX in Cassiopeia if you want to find her)
  • Reading interesting books

And that is about all that she likes. She adds bullying little brother sometimes, only. Jazzo may also post pictures of her art here for people to comment. She is also currently working on a comic, but is trying to make it such that it does not sound like other comics. She doesn't really like copying...

Why not listen to one of Jazzo's favourite songs while studying her life? It's 'Sand in my Shoes' by Dido.
